PEANUT b. November 2001 d. November 2007

It is always so sad to see our pets die. They love so unconditionally and so totally.

We have had Peanut for six years. Although she wasn't always hospitable to others, she loved me explicitly. I have so many sweet memories of her to think back on.

She always came running when I called her name. With a pat of my hand on my chest she would jump up on my lap and snuggle with me. I will always remember how she would sweetly touch my face with her paw when I would quit petting her. She was so affectionate to me always.
No matter where I was in the house she was never more than five feet from me. She would lay beside my bed all night and the moment I would open my eyes she would jump up on my chest purring to say goodmorning.

When we got her as a kitten she was so small and so furry. I always believed she thought of my son Jarrett as her "brother". We got her as a kitten when Jarrett was just a toddler. When she wasn't laying beside me at night she was laying on his bed sleeping with him. When she was feeling fiesty, she would hid behind the corner and when he would come past her she would jump up and try to wrap her body around him as if wrestling him.

Although she wasn't too happy when others tried to pet her and when she saw other animals, she took to the two little kittens we adopted last month. She would wrestle with them and run around the house playing with them. She really showed her maternal side and played like she was the mommy, cleaning them when they walked by her. It was so nice to see she her respond to them so adorably. I know the kittens already notice she is not here as they have been going to all the areas she last layed to sniff for her. I placed Peanuts collar in her bed and the kittens went in and slept there last night.

I will really miss my sweet friend Peanut!

See you in Heaven my sweet girl! xo Karen

Karen I am so sorry to hear of you loss. I also am an animal lover and understand how hard it is to lose a loved one. She had a wonderful family and life with you. Our prayers are with you and your family.
