Spring/Summer EScentials
What is aromatherapy?
Aromatherapy is the practice of using 100% pure essential oils to positively influence, alter, shift, modify and change emotions and moods. It is a powerful tool that compliments numerous alternative health-and-wellness modalities and practices such as herbal supplements, massage, skin care, chiropractic care, acupuncture, other natural health trades.
Safety Tips
1. Dilute essential oils (except for Lavender) before applying them directly to the skin.
2. Keep essential oils out of reach of children.
3. Do not use essential oils internally.
4. Citrus essential oils are phototoxic. Avoid direct sunlight for 2-3 hours after using these essential oils on the skin.
5. Keep essential oils away from the eyes. Use milk to flush if exposure occurs--essential oils are NOT water-soluble.
6. Use caution with someone who suffers from chronic or serious health conditions such as heart concerns and neurological disorders. Consult a professional healthcare provider before beginning any program.
7. Be careful when using essential oils during pregnancy. Consult your physician before use.
History
Egyptians were the founders of true aromatherapy practices. They were the first to begin distilling essential oils over 6,000 years ago. At that time, essential oils were more treasured than gold.

Home Spa Party Tips
Offer incentives to your hostess and potential hostesses. Give them a free product that you have made up especially for them when they have achieved a certain goal, such as having a certain number or party attendees, reaching a specific dollar amount in party sales and booking a certain amount of future parties/hostesses. This will help to motivate your hostess to have a successful and productive party by taking the time to plan and invite everyone they know and follow-up to ensure attendance.
You can also show your hostess how they can earn free products with NSP in addition to buying over 700 products at wholesale prices. Also teach them about the opportunity to earn extra money through commissions and rebates. This is a great way to duplicate yourself while increasing and growing your business at a manageable rate. Remember, keep it simple, fun and exciting - for you and the hostess.
Aromatherapy Business Building Tips
If you display your products in a retail store, dedicate a small section to promoting essential oils and the aromatherapy accessories. A suggested advertisement slog could read: "Aromatherapy Products Sold Here." Many Managers have found this approach to be successful. Also display a couple of products made from the essential oils and personal care products to show people how simple, easy and fun it is to create their own bath and body products.
You can also have a tester of each essential oil for your customers to sample before they buy them. Create a one-page flyer that has a two to three word description of each oil, one recipe and a list of accessories and carriers such as: Golden Salve, Irish Moss Hand & Body Lotion, Massage Oil, etc. This will help cross-sell other NSP products that can increase your sales while helping customers achieve health naturally with topical products.
