THANK YOU NOTE TO MY FAMILY AND FRIENDS!
Just a quick note to all to let you know Mom & Ray have arrived safely back in Greentown, PA. She is happy to be home, and feeling well. I don't know how many others who could rehab from two strokes when already in their 70's! She is a really strong lady!
As frustrating as it is for her, because she does eat healthy, takes supplements where needed, and religiously exercises daily, I keep telling her if it weren't for those great habits she developed over the past 30 years, she never would have gotten back up after the first stroke. Her mom and others in her family who have had the same medical problems in their genetics never even had the opportunity to get back up and rehab like she has. I can't stress how much your diet, lifestyle and exercise routines can make in your life. Being the recipient of all her teachings over the years, and having started even earlier in my life to make those important changes, maybe I'll be lucky and I'll make it into my 80's before having my genetics knock me down a couple pegs. :) I'm up for living into my 100's as long as I'm healthy, so I'm willing to do all I can to get there!!! I love you all dearly and pray you will do the same so we can enjoy so many more years together. xoxoxo
Thank you for all your emails, prayers and well wishes. Ray, Eddie & I have been so thankful for so many who offered advice, ideas and consulting that we may not have thought of on our own when dealing with the doctors, hospitals, rehab, insurance, and other long term things which needed organizing. Most especially My Aunt Pat, Uncle Ed, Aunt Ria, and Ray's daughters Lana & Cheryl and husband Mike. You have all been an enormous help through these past few months. Thank God for my friends and family!!! I have been so blessed!
All I can say is I am so thankful Mom is ok, and I thank God every day for the over time he has allowed her and the extra time I have been given to spend more time with her and tell her how much I love and appreciate her!
All my love to you all,
xoxoxo Karen
