The Beauty of Liquid Herbs!

Liquid herbs, extractions and tinctures are the fastest, most effective herbal preparations. In liquid form, the nutrients and active ingredients of the herbs are quickly absorbed and easily assimilated. This makes them beneficial for children, the elderly and anyone who has compromised digestion, which is about 75% of the population. They are also easy to administer to pets, on food, or externally applied. With external applications, if they lick them off, they also get the internal benefits - an added bonus!

Liquid preparations generally are three to five times more effective than powdered counterparts. An added benefit is that as they are more concentrated and effective, you don't need to take as many pills, which helps clients comply with their program.

NSP's convenient size makes liquid herbs suitable for busy working people, as the bottle fits nicely in their purse, car, or desk, so they are always handy.

Liquid herbs can all be taken straight and held under the tongue for instant absorption; they can be also taken in hot or cold water, or even juice.

All of these liquids make pleasant tastine instant teas:
Licorice, Red Clover Blend, Red Raspberry Blend, STR-J (Stress-J) , AL-J and VS-C .

The glycerine based extracts taste sweeter and are often better tolerated by children. Glycerine offers it own healing benefits by being nourishing and soothing.

Traditional Uses -This briefly lists traditional uses.

Practitioners may often use them for other purposes:

Ultimate Echinacea and Echinacea and Golden Seal for infections and immune boosting.

VS-C for all viral conditions (common cold and flus, herpes, cold sores), immune strengthening.

Oregon Grape for weak digestion, liver, skin and infection. Specific for staph - type infections.

Red Raspberry Blend as natural calcium and iron source, diarrhea and colds, balances Thyroid body type.

Catnip and Fennel is excellent for colic and other digestive upsets, fevers and balances Adrenal body types.

Red Clover Blend traditional blood and lymphatic cleanser, balances Reproductive body type.

STR-J (Stress-J) is excellent for calming and nourishing the nervous system.

Alcohol based extracts can still be used safely with children, pets and alcoholics, if a little boiling water is added, wait one minute and the alcohol will evaporate off, leaving the potency of the herbs intact.

Some of the favorites are:
Golden Seal and Parthenium, CC-A with Yerba Santa (Coughs and Colds), and CBG are all highly recommended for infections.

Hawthorn Berry Extract works quickly to balance heart beat and is an excellent adrenal tonic, high in natural, absorbable Vitamin C, very good for calming hyperactive children.

Pau D' Arco is excellent for fungal and viral infections, as well as parasites.

Black Walnut is a favorite for parasites, plus its high organic iodine makes it effective for thyroid balancing.

Lobelia is one of nature's most potent relaxants, antispasmodics and helps to remove obstructions, especially in the respiratory system. As an antispasmodic it is excellent for spastic bowel and bronchial spasms. It is very effective for those wishing to stop smoking, as lobeline, one of the active ingredients will fill the nicotine receptor sites which create cravings, without any addictive effect or weight gain. Health Canada has approved this as a medical claim. Because of strong relaxant effects, Lobelia also helps calm withdrawal symptoms.

LB Extract is a laxative formula that also helps to restore bowel tone.

Licorice helps heal lungs, builds the adrenals, helps calm anxiety, is anti viral and balances blood sugar levels. It can be mildly laxative; also balances Pituitary body types.

External Applications - In liquid form herbs can be used effectively for many applications besides internal oral use. Here are a few uses for exteroal applications:

Liquid Capsicum can be applied as a liniment to increase circulation for arthritis and tight muscles; adding Lobelia augments the relaxation effect.

Lobelia can be applied externally as a pain reliever for pain, spastic or tight muscles, and cramps. Lobelia can also be applied to the lung spots on front and back of chest to relieve coughing.

CBG and Lobelia can be applied as drops directly into the ears for ear infection and mucous blockage.

AL-J can be applied directly to allergic response rashes.

VS-C can be applied topically to cold sores, as they are viral.

Pau D' Arco can also be applied externally to sores and fungal infections, such as athlete's foot.

Black Walnut can be applied to ring worm with much faster results than prescription medications.
