Candida Albincans
What is Candida Albincans?
Candida overgrowth is a nasty yeast problem that can be potentially destructive to your body for both men and women. Candida is a yeast organism that normally resides in the intestinal tract. The problem begins when our good bacteria is killed off, for example through the use of antibiotics. Candida is known by many names: Thrush, Albincans or simply yeast infection. It can appear anywhere in your body, in any part of your body, e.g. lungs, bone marrow, blood. The question still remains the same - How do we get rid of it? No matter where it is in the body, the method remains the same. It is something that is always naturally present in our bodies. Candida is a spore spreading bacteria. Candida Albincans are yeast cells living among bacterial flora present in the gastrointestinal tract, mucus, esophagus, small intestine, and on the body surface. Under normal balanced conditions, Candida is controlled by our immune defenses; it requires sugar, and weakened immunity to survive. Women are more susceptible to yeast overgrowth, but everyone has the potential to develop a yeast condition during their lifetime. The immune system can be weakened due to nutritional deficiency, antibiotics, infection, environmental toxins and excessive stress and worry. When our internal environment is disrupted, helpful bacteria is decreased, leaving the body's defense system to become ineffective, causing membranes to swell and germs to multiply. Candida assumes a thread-like shape and goes through the gut wall. Powerful toxins are released and absorbed into deeper tissues or the blood stream, and damages the gut wall, allowing foreign substances to enter. The immune system then produces antibodies causing allergic reactions. This can contribute to the infections of the throat, sinus, bladder and many other health problems. Taking an antibiotic could only make the yeast growth worsen.
Questionnaire:
1. Have you taken a broad spectrum antibiotic* even in a single course?
*Including Keflex, ampicillin, amoxicillin, ceclor, bactrim, and septra. Such antibiotics kill off "good germs" while they are killing off those which cause infection.
2. Have you, at anytime in your life, been bothered by persistent prostatitis, vaginitis, or other problems affecting your reproductive organs?
3. Have you been pregnant 2 or more times?
4. Have you taken birth control pills for more than 2 years?
5. Does exposure to perfumes, insecticides, fabric shop odors, and other chemicals provoke moderate to severe symptoms?
6. Are your symptoms worse on damp, muggy days or in moldy places?
7. Have you had athlete's foot, ring work, jock itch or other chronic fungus infections of the skin or nails? Have such infections been severe or persistent?
8. Do you crave sugar?
9. Do you crave breads?
10. Do you crave alcohoic beverages?
11. Does tobacco smoke really bother you?
If you answered yest to any of these questions, you are most likely battling Candida Albincans.
How do I get rid of Candida Albincans?
Lets start with your diet. It plays a huge role. You start by lowering the intake of wheat, processed refined sugar, and dairy products. There are substitutes. For example, instead of wheat use oatbran. Replace refined sugars with pure cane sugar, sucanat, stevia or better yet replace the products high in refined sugar with fresh fruits. Soy is an excellent substitute for milk, but even more important increase your pure water intake to half your weight in ounces. i.e. 200 lbs drink 100 oz of water daily.
The next think to do, is start with herbs and supplements to combat the Candida.
