Benefits of Fish Oil - Simple secrets for optimum health and good nutrition
Just last week I registered for yet another Webinar about how to continue improving my health and how Essential Fatty Acids play and important role in cardiovascular health (being Valentines Weekend, what a perfect topic). Even though I thought I already knew it, I heard some new great information that re-inspired me to share this excellent information with others. I actually sat through the entire Webinar, and I wondered how I was going to get all this great information to you. Therefore, I recorded it and below you'll find that recording, in case you want to get the information directly (I even included the slides in case you wanted to take notes).

Some of my quick notes of the Webinar:
- I was reminded that the processing of foods eliminates much (if not all) nutritional value of foods.
- Deficiency of Omega-3 can decrease normal blood flow to the brain (this can't be a good thing…well at least not for most of us)
- The four major causes of not getting enough Omega-3 are:
1. Not getting it in your system, plain and simple.
2. Not absorbing it into your system (This can happen when you take Omega-3 with fiber.)
3. Anti-nutrients that are robbing your body of Omega-3.
4. A stressed lifestyle (hmmmm…..know anyone that experiences this?) - I had never heard of Omega-3 as being thought of the body's anti-freeze. (This gives me a good visual)
- There was a great review of how Essential Fatty Acids are necessary for healthy cell function and are regulators that control well being.
- Great explanation of how the body and cells compensate by incorporating saturated fats in cell membranes and the results when Omega-3 deficiency happens.
- I also got a great "aha" moment, by reminding me how fish oils relate to stiff body, and inflammation.
- Did you know that there are correlations between not Omega-3 deficiency and depression?
- And soooo, much more
