Don't forget about our other exciting and interesting services:
Colon Hydrotherapy (colonics)
Colon hydrotherapy is a simple procedure where gentle purified water is
allowed to wash and soak the large intestine. The client lies on a
treatment table and using a FDA registered colon hydrotherapy instrument
and sterile disposable tubing water is run very slowly into the colon. After
several fills and releases the waste gently begins to break loose from the
mucus membrane.
The physical goals of each session are to hydrate the system, remove
waste, stimulate peristalsis, rehabilitate the nerves, muscles, glands,
circulatory and immune systems that form the components of the digestive
system, and to reposition the intestines.
Energizing Foot Spa
Each of your feet has 2,000 pores. Bio-energy science goes to work on
them with this remarkable footbath, extracting toxins that build up in your
body and leaving you feeling renewed and rebalanced with more physical
and mental energy.
The flow of your vital life force or energy is essential to maintaining good
health and having your body in perfect balance.
When your body is in balance, you have improved physical energy, mental
concentration and increased circulation resulting in more efficient
metabolism.
Relaxation (Swedish) Massage
Swedish massage shortens recovery time from muscular strain by flushing
the tissues of lactic acid, uric acid, and other metabolic wastes. It
increases circulation without increasing heart load. It stretches the
ligaments and tendons keeping them supple and pliable.
Swedish massage also stimulates the skin and nervous system and
soothes the nerves themselves at the same time. It reduces stress, both
emotional and physical, and is suggested in a regular program for stress
management. It also has many specific medical uses.
Neuromuscular-Medical Massage
By definition, Neuromuscular Therapy is the utilization of static pressure
on specific myofascial points to relieve pain. This technique manipulates
the soft tissue of the body (muscles, tendons and connective tissue) to
balance the central nervous system.
In a healthy individual, nerves transmit impulses (which are responsible
for every movement, function and thought) to the body very slowly.
Injury, trauma, postural distortion or stress cause nerves to speed up their
transmission, inhibiting equilibrium and making the body vulnerable to
pain and dysfunction. It is therefore necessary to stabilize low levels of
neurological activity to maintain normal function and overall health.
Holographic Health®
Holographic Health is accomplished through an organized, elaborate set of
muscle checks and rebalancing modalities. Through muscle testing of 193
muscles this will detect body imbalances. These imbalances can then be
corrected by the use of massage and stretching. Sometimes
supplementation is added to correct these imbalances. It is a truly holistic
paradigm that is well suited to the western mind, at the same time, it
utilizes knowledge from the past with works such as Chinese, Tibetan,
Ayurvedic, Arabian, and Greco-European Medicine.
Hypnosis for Positive Life Changes
It's not clear how hypnosis works. Hypnotherapists say that hypnosis
creates a state of deep relaxation and quiets the mind. When you're
hypnotized, you can concentrate intensely on a specific thought, memory,
feeling or sensation while blocking out distractions. You're more open
than usual to suggestions, and this can be used to change your behavior
and thereby improve your health and well-being.
Lymphatic Drainage Therapy
Lymph vessels make an intimate mesh work that covers every inch of
your skin, and surrounds each organ in great detail. The lymph vessels
start very small in what are called the initial lymphatic. Over 70% of the
initial lymphatics are in and just under the skin. The initial lymphatic is a
very delicate structure, one cell thick. Those cells are supported within the
connective tissue by collagen and elastin fibers that help to anchor them in
place. When the pressure within the interstitial space increases due to a
buildup of fluid, or when the skin is slightly stretched, the filaments
deform the wall of the initial lymphatic, opening it up. Then the interstitial
fluid flows in and starts to move along the channel. At this point we start
calling it lymph. Although only 2-3 liters of lymph is filtered through the
lymph system per day, it is vital because it helps to remove proteins that
are too large to get back through the capillary wall.
By performing lymphatic drainage massage correctly, we can stimulate
the opening of the initial lymphatic and increase the volume of lymph flow
by as much as 20 times.
Deep Tissue Massage
When there is chronic muscle tension or injury, there are usually
adhesions (bands of painful, rigid tissue) in muscles, tendons, and
ligaments.
Adhesions can block circulation and cause pain, limited movement, and
inflammation.
Deep tissue massage works by physically breaking down these adhesions
to relieve pain and restore normal movement. To do this, the massage
therapist often uses direct deep pressure or friction applied across the
grain of the muscles.
Unlike classic massage therapy, which is used for relaxation, deep tissue
massage usually focuses on a specific problem, such as:
Chronic pain
Limited mobility
Recovery from injuries (e.g. whiplash, falls, sports injury)
Repetitive strain injury, such as carpal tunnel syndrome
Postural problems
Ostearthritis pain
Fibromyalgia
Muscle tension or spasm
Pregnancy Massage
Bodywork during pregnancy helps:
Reduce stress, promote relaxation, facilitate transitions through emotional
support and physical nurturing.
Reduce edema and blood pressure, relieve varicose veins, and increase
blood and lymph circulation.
Relieve stress on weight-bearing joints (ankles, low back, pelvis)
FAR INFRARED SAUNA
Use far infrared light, part of the Sun's invisible spectrum of light that has
the ability to penetrate the human tissue. Unlike sunbathing, it is
completely healthy and safe because it will never cause your skin to burn.
Far infrared light increases the body's core temperature thus resulting in a
much deeper, more detoxifying sweat.
Dr. Toshiko Yamazaki, MD owns an Far infrared therapy clinic in Japan
where she has done extensive research on the uses of Far Infrared
Therapy or Infrared Light Therapy. In her book, "The Science of far
infrared Therapies," she explains that one of the reasons Far Infrared
Therapy has beneficial results in a variety of illnesses is the ability of Far
infrared waves to remove toxins with mercury detoxification, which is
often at the core of many health problems.
