Mary Christensen

Rallie McAllister, M.D.
Rallie McAllister, M.D., MPH, MSEH is a board-certified family physician with masters degrees in Public Health and Environmental Health. She is the author of Healthy Lunchbox: The Working Mom’s Guide to Keeping You and Your Kids Trim. Her nationally syndicated column, Your Health by Dr. Rallie McAllister, is read weekly by millions of Americans in newspapers throughout the U.S. As an advocate of family health and an expert on nutrition and obesity, Rallie is a popular speaker at events ranging from national conventions to local Cub Scout meetings. She makes regular appearances on television and radio programs across the country, and her fitness and nutrition tips for parents and kids have been featured in numerous publications, including USA Today, Parents Magazine, Prevention, Family Circle, Better Homes and Gardens, WebMD and others. Rallie lives on a small farm near Lexington, Ky. with her husband, emergency physician Robin Peavler, M.D., and their two younger sons. Their eldest son proudly serves as a U.S. Marine.

Dr. Alex Duarte
Alex Duarte, O.D., Ph.D., is well-known for his natural, alternative approaches to solving health problems. He is a nationally recognized lecturer, author, and radio and TV personality. He has written 15 groundbreaking books on nutritional and health topics.

Dr. Duarte began his professional career as a research microbiologist. After earning a California secondary teaching credential, he taught biology and chemistry. Earning a doctorate in Optometry, he was in clinical practice for nine years. He has traveled the world to find nontoxic alternatives for treating degenerative diseases of the eye and body.

Dr. Duarte also holds a Ph.D. in Nutrition and is Fellow of the International Academy of Medical Preventives. He has been the nutritionist for several Olympic champions and has lectured for the American Naturopathic Association and the National Nutritional Foods Association. Dr. Duarte is a member of the Board of Editors of the Journal of Applied Nutrition.

Dr. Hugo Rodier
Dr. Hugo Rodier has a medical practice in Salt Lake City, and he is a recognized authority in Nutritional and Integrative Medicine and Psycho-Neural Immunology. He has done extensive research to scientifically validate the use of natural therapies using material taken from standard medical journals. By integrating natural therapies in his practice, Dr. Rodier lends a unique perspective on herbs and supplements.

Steven Horne
Steven Horne initiated many of the training programs that NSP uses today. He serves on the Board of the American Herbalist Guild and is the founder of the Tree of Light Institute, which offers support and educational materials to NSP Distributors and Managers.

Steven began working with Nature’s Sunshine 18 years ago as the editor of Sunshine Horizons and later contributed his valuable herbal knowledge as the instructor of the Manager School. His many contributions to our company also include the body systems approach, the Lifestyle Analysis and NSP’s School of Natural Health program. Steven has served as the President of the American Herbalists Guild for three years and currently sits on the Advisory Board of the International Iridology Practitioners Association.

Dr. Gordon Pedersen
Dr. Gordon Pedersen graduated with a Ph.D. in Toxicology at Utah State University. He has a master’s degree in Cardiac Rehabilitation and Wellness. He currently serves as the Director of the Institute of Alternative Medicine and was nominated to chair the United States Pharmacopoeia Review Board Natural Products Committee.

Dr. Pedersen is the formulator of more than 150 nutritional products. He is an international best-selling author and is the host of the radio show “Common Sense Medicine.”

Dr. William Keller
Dr. Keller is the Chief Scientific Officer and Vice President of Health Sciences and Educational Services at Nature’s Sunshine. He has been actively researching, teaching and serving in the field of pharmacognosy since earning his doctoral degree from the University of Washington in 1972. His research on noni and mangosteen has led to wonderful discoveries regarding their health benefits.


Dr. Frank Ervolino
Dr. Ervolino lives in Palm City, Fla. He is on the staff of Jupiter Medical Center Hospital as one of the hospital’s acupuncturists. He also practices as an Acupuncture Physician in a clinic he shares. He received his Doctorate of Naturopathic Medicine and a Masters of Science Degree in acupuncture from Bastyr University in Seattle, Wash.

Dr. Ervolino is committed to his field. In 2003, he was appointed by Governor Jeb Bush to the Florida State Board of Acupuncture. He had previously been the Senior Research Editor of Better Nutrition Magazine.

Dr. Ervolino emphasizes prevention, treatment and the promotion of optimal health through the use of therapeutic methods and modalities, including acupuncture, laser acupuncture, Chinese medicine, vitamins and supplement therapy, dietary and food therapy and mind/body therapy. He treats chronic disease and has worked extensively in smoking cessation, menopausal symptoms, arthritis, low back pain, gastro-intestinal problems and cancer treatment support.

Labadee, Haiti
This private island is reserved exclusively for Royal Caribbean International guests. Many exciting activities await you on shore. Choose from wave running, parasailing and kayaking. Go on a wet-and-wild banana boat ride. Or have fun in the Arawak Water Park. Lunch is served. Enjoy cultural programs and shopping markets.

Day 4: Wednesday, October 24
Ocho Rios, Jamaica
A rambling resort on Jamaica's north coast, Ocho Rios has long been one of the island's most popular vacation spots. The town has a coast that is lined with pristine white beaches and lush green hills. Royal Caribbean offers many exciting tours, from an all-inclusive beach day at Breeze's Resort to adventurous tubing on the White River.

Day 5: Thursday, October 25
Georgetown, Grand Cayman
Your day can include swimming with and hand feeding stingrays, seeing a house made entirely of shells or touring a turtle farm. This tropical paradise is perfect for any outdoor adventure.

Day 6: Friday, October 26
Cozumel, Mexico
Cozumel is one of the most famous dive and snorkeling destinations in the world. Other attractions include amazing beaches, unique Mexican markets and handicrafts, underwater caves and caverns, and ancient Mayan ruins.

Day 7: Saturday, October 27
