Update on the Freedom Bill HB 1303

Hi everyone,

I attended the meeting for the Freedom Bill at the NC Legislature and want to give you an update.

Lobbyist Mike Causey with Citzens for Healthcare Freedom spoke on the importance of the bill for NC giving it's residents freedom to choose health care and improving consumer access. He gave stats on the number of people nationwide embracing natural health & non-licensed modalities and passed out information on states that had already passed this bill. He also included handouts on the different modalities available and a definition of each.

Following his presentation three doctors spoke in favor of the bill- a Homeopathic Dr from Asheville, and two medical doctors. The representatives didn't understand the freedom bill. They talked about looking into licensing each modality & Mr. Causey spoke up & said it would be impossible since there were over 1000 modalities. He asked that we continue to get petitions signed & for those who have herb shops to put a donation jar out to help support this bill. Please contact me with any questions.
